The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation expresses its deepest consternation and condemnation of yesterday's attack in Nice. We feel pain and indignation and we call on all the men and women of our land to share and express these feelings for such regrettable and hateful events, which, moreover, take place shortly after other recent equally bloody and reprehensible attacks such as those in Istanbul and Baghdad.

The Three Cultures Foundation, whose mission is to promote understanding between all the cultures of our Mediterranean Sea, firmly rejects these cruel and senseless displays of terrorism and we ask that no victory be granted to the terrorists, such as the spread of hatred of others, intolerance or xenophobia among us. To criminalise a social or religious group in a generic way would be not only wrong, but profoundly unjust, because it must not be forgotten that the vast majority of the victims of terrorism are, precisely, Muslims.

The Fundación Tres Culturas will organise an intercultural vigil next week at its headquarters in the Moroccan Pavilion of the Cartuja, in Seville, as a tribute and solidarity with the victims and as an expression of our most radical condemnation of terrorism.
