Concert: Hamid Bouchnak in Tres Culturas

Framed within the cycle that the Tres Foundation Cultures dedicated to Morocco, in collaboration with the Ministry responsible for The Moroccan Community Resident Abroad, on 24 June, at 21:30, the concert of Moroccan singer Hamid Bouchnak will take place in the Andalusian Gardens of the Foundation (Open-air esplanade). The concert will be free, with open access, until full capacity is reached.

 

The son of a renowned Arab-Andalusian musician, Hamid began his career with his three brothers in 1983, with the recording of a tape that brought them to prominence.

 

After several years, in 1992, the Bouchnak brothers, feeling the need to renew themselves and with the aim of personal development, went their separate ways, having first recorded this farewell on the album “Ana Ghadi” (I'm Leaving).

 

Hamid, who began singing with his brothers at the age of 5, launched his solo career in 1995, recording “Marocan'Rock”, and continued with “Ya Bent Ennas” and “A Shebba” in 1997.

 

In 1998, he conducted a stadium tour with his song “Allez Allez,” composed in tribute to the Moroccan football team.

 

After an absence of 3 years, and having become a French citizen, Hamid returns with his album “Moussem”, releasing this work from Marrakech in June 2004. In this work, the artist marks a new turn in his career: a new professional environment, a new look, and a new evolution on stage.

 

He undertook many collaborations with artists such as Malek, singing a duet of the song “Mab ka lina amal” (We have no hope left), or duetted with El Hajja Hadaouia, with Cheba Maria or with Lyrics Attitude, as a composer and co-writer. In 2006, he published a compilation titled “RaiRapRn’b Only”, in which 18 artists participated.

 

In 2007, she collaborated in the launch of a new radio station, singing its jingles.

 

In 2008, he released his tenth work titled “Hamid”, with which he undertook a European and Moroccan tour. In 2009, he released a compilation of his greatest hits.
