The director of the Tres Culturas Foundation, José Manuel Cervera, and Gabriel María Pérez Alcalá, rector of the Loyola Andalucía University, signed a collaboration agreement between the two institutions on the afternoon of 26 September 2017 for the development of activities of common interest.

Among these activities, projects in the following areas will be of particular relevance:

- Actions related to training exchanges, both through the development of training courses aimed at different social sectors (teachers, students, professionals and interested parties in general), and through internships for University students at the Foundation's headquarters.

- Joint organisation and promotion of conferences, seminars, publications and other academic, artistic and cultural activities, as well as those of special interest to both parties.

- Exchange of information and documentation, and collaboration in the development of dissemination and social awareness programmes.

- Carrying out or jointly financing studies and research projects in those areas considered to be of common interest, as well as mutual advice on issues related to the activities of both entities.

Following the signing of this agreement and as one of the first joint activities of both institutions, the conference 'The spirituality of the Three Cultures' was given by María Toscano Liria, professor of philosophy and specialist in spirituality, Sufi mysticism and the sacred.
