Classified as one of the sectors that drives Morocco's economy, in addition to maintaining a historical and cultural heritage, craftsmanship, in all its specialities and dimensions, is an essential tool for sustainable development. The crafts sector directly employs three million people, providing indirect employment for ten million Moroccans, i.e. a third of Morocco's population lives thanks to the economic resources generated by crafts. In recent years, more and more women have become involved in the business world by setting up companies related to this sector, combining commercial strategy and knowledge in the field.

On the occasion of the Moroccan Cultural Week, the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation will have a representation of different craftsmen from Assilah, Nador and Fez, mainly, who will work with wood, leather, brass, among other materials, showing their skills live for three days.

Among these master craftsmen are people with a long family tradition who have been able to create profitable businesses, which have also won several awards. Among the products on show to the public are embroidery, babouches, jewellery, among other things. The public will be able to admire the work of these professionals, exchange views with them and learn more about our neighbouring country.
