As has been customary for some years now, the Fundación Tres Culturas has prepared a special programme to celebrate Cultural Diversity Month in May, with a full range of activities including concerts, film screenings, an exhibition, conferences and other proposals focused on vindicating the values of a diverse and open society.
The choice of this month is due to the fact that in 2001 UNESCO adopted the University Declaration on Cultural Diversity, and the United Nations General Assembly declared 21 May as World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.
For the Fundación Tres Culturas, this date is particularly significant, given the institution's commitment to promoting intercultural dialogue, knowledge of other peoples and fostering mutual respect, pillars of the spirit that guides its lines of action. For this reason, this proposal includes both its own activities expressly conceived for the occasion and collaborations with other entities, which gives more variety and diversity to the programme.
