The Three Cultures Foundation in close collaboration with the Essaouira-Mogador Association is organising the Festival in the port city of Essaouira. Printemps des Alizés. An unmissable event for chamber music lovers, the festival will take place from 24 to 27 April in the most emblematic venues of the city of Essaouira. Dozens of musicians from all over the world will perform a total of twelve concerts over the four days of the festival, with ensembles ranging from duos, trios, quartets and soloists to the Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra.
In the programming Dina Bensaid, the young artistic director of the festival, highlighted the privileged relationship between master and disciple, underlining the importance of the transmission of knowledge and making the city of Essaouira a case study of musical pedagogy.
Another highlight of this edition is the presence of the string quartet of the prestigious West-Eastern Divan orchestra, which will visit Morocco for the first time. Also expected are the great soloists of the moment, such as Claire Désert (piano), Patrice Fontanarosa (violin), Marwan Benabdallah (piano), Yovan Markovitch (cello) and many other artists who will offer their best music to an increasingly large audience ready to enjoy the great talents of the moment.
