The Director of the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation, José Manuel Cervera Gragera, and the President of the Elcano Royal Institute, Emilio Lamo de Espinosa, will sign an agreement aimed at strengthening both institutional and academic relations between the two institutions.
The activities to be carried out within the framework of this agreement include the following:
- The participation of the Elcano Royal Institute in WOCMES Seville 2018 (World Congress for Middle Eastern Studies) through the incorporation of its researcher Haizam Amirah Fernández to the Executive Scientific Committee of WOCMES Seville 2018, in addition to carrying out some activities within the congress itself such as paper presentations, publications, meetings in conjunctionetc.
- Joint organisation of activities, within the fields of action of both foundations, especially the Mediterranean and Morocco.
- Participation of both institutions in different networks of research centres whose main object of study is the Mediterranean, such as EUROMESCO with the collaboration of IEMED.
