The meeting 'Pathways to peace. Promoting the role of Andalusian society in peace-building in the Middle East. Phase IIwill take place on 3 and 4 November at the Foundation's headquarters. Organised by the Assembly of Cooperation for Peace (ACPP), this meeting will bring together around 40 young Andalusian, Israeli and Palestinian participants in Seville, with a view to strengthening the political influence of the aforementioned civil actors in favour of peace.
The activities proposed in this project, financed by the Andalusian Agency for International Development Cooperation, are aimed at two specific objectives. On the one hand, to initiate stable channels of communication between Andalusian, Israeli and Palestinian organisations, and on the other hand strengthening the political advocacy of young Andalusian, Israeli and Palestinian civilian actors for peace.
The development of this project includes a phase of assimilation of the results of Phase I, in which young political representatives from Andalusia, Israel and Palestine also participated. The aim of this assimilation is to give continuity to the project and to allow the new participants to contribute their experiences.
The activities to be carried out in this Phase II are as follows: meetings with young Andalusians, Palestinians and Israelis; training in mediation and peaceful conflict resolution; and cross-cutting work on external projection and political advocacy.
Due to the nature of the meeting, it will be closed to the public.
