The Fundación Tres Culturas continues to participate in the programme Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) thanks to the INTREPIDA project of cross-border cooperation between Spain and Portugal (Internationalisation of Spanish and Portuguese Businesswomen towards Insertion, Development and Partnerships).
Interreg Volunteer Youth is a proposal of the European Union to promote the mobility of young unemployed Europeans under 30 years of age and their incorporation into the world of work, through close collaboration in INTERREG projects with the beneficiary institutions.
The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation hosted this initiative since its publication in 2017, welcoming computer engineer Tiago Pinho and later law graduate Ricardo Monteiro, both Portuguese. Later on, Bérenice Pereira, a graduate in Communication from France, joined us. Since last September, we have welcomed Giulia Calibeo, a graduate in Political and International Sciences from the Italian University of Teramo, to the INTREPIDA project.
Recently, as an IVY POCTEP volunteer, Giulia has participated in an initiative promoted by WWF and the European Commission for the reforestation of an area of the Doñana National Park in Huelva, where a call for attention to environmental problems has been made. The tree planting was shared with other young people from programmes such as INTERACT and members of DG REGIO (European Commission).
From the Fundación Tres Culturas we encourage all the beneficiaries of the different projects to take part in this initiative, which is enormously positive for all parties, strengthening cooperation through the participation of young people, who will be in charge of formulating new proposals and projects in the future.
