The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation and the "la Caixa" Foundation have renewed their collaboration agreement, under which the bank will provide 50,000 euros for the development of actions that contribute to the rapprochement of cultures for two years.

After more than a decade of collaboration, the relationship between the Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo and the "la Caixa" Foundation is a more than consolidated reality, which has taken shape over the years in different agreements, culminating with the signing of an agreement in September 2016. That document, signed at that time by the director of Tres Culturas, José Manuel Cervera, and the corporate director of the territorial area and centres of the "la Caixa" Banking Foundation, Rafael Chueca Blasco, was a written record of the common commitment of both foundations to a better society.

Since then, the two foundations have once again established a great relationship, as a result of which the Fundación Tres Culturas develops actions focused on diversity and a better understanding of the multicultural society of which we are a part.

Specifically, this agreement, signed on 16 April 2020, stipulates that its purpose is to "establish the framework for collaboration between the la Caixa Banking Foundation and the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation for the development of activities that help to promote democratic values and practices and encourage recognition of the contribution of the three great monotheistic religions to the construction of the Mediterranean area, through the preparation and dissemination of rigorous information and the generation of constructive debate that facilitates the rapprochement between cultures and religions, breaking down clichés and prejudices".
