The meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on 28 June at the Foundation's headquarters in the presence of trustees from Andalusia and Morocco.
The Three Cultures Foundation held its Board of Trustees meeting to present and approve the accounts for the 2015 financial year. The meeting was attended by prominent trustees from both sides of the Strait, such as the Foundation's CEO and advisor to the King of Morocco, André Azoulay, the Minister of Culture of the Andalusian Regional Government, Rosa Aguilar, the Deputy Minister of the Presidency, Mª Felicidad Montero, the President of Abdelmalek Essaadi University, Mohamed Ameziane, and the President of the Marrakech Region, Ahmed Akchichine, among other members.
In addition to presenting the Foundation's financial data, during the meeting the Board of Trustees was informed of the main activities organised by the Three Cultures Foundation in the first half of 2016, one of the main ones being the launch of the programme 'Alqantara: bridges for dialogue and coexistence', funded by the Ministry in charge of Moroccans Residing Abroad and Migration Affairs, through which a series of major forums and awareness-raising activities are being held.
Finally, the trustees were informed of the status of the projects planned for the second half of the year. Among the activities planned is the 'Politicians Listening to Us' project, part of the European Erasmus+ programme, which will bring together 50 young people from the European Union and the Mediterranean area (Belgium, Egypt, Spain, France, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Palestine, Tunisia and Turkey) in Seville from 17 to 24 July to reflect, debate and share new proposals on the social economy with political leaders.
