More than 1,500 people support the activities of the cycle 'Sepharad in Three Cultures'.

With the talk-colloquium The living memory of Sephardic Tangier and the concert by Sephardic Bridges, closed yesterday the cycle that the Three Cultures Foundation has dedicated to commemorate the Sephardic legacy and especially its Moroccan dimension, a proposal whose set of activities has reaped a remarkable success of public.

According to the Foundation's estimates, more than 1,500 people have attended the different events of this cycle, which has been held since the beginning of September under the title 'Sepharad in Three Cultures', coinciding with the celebration of the European Days of Jewish Culture, which have been organised in more than 30 countries for the last 20 years.

This special programme included several concerts, a workshop on Sephardic songs, conferences, an exhibition, a special session of the Al-Andalus Chair and four film screenings which, in view of the success obtained, suggest that this cycle will continue in successive years.

For the time being, the exhibition Musical Instruments in Hebrew Art in Medieval Spain can still be seen in the Foundation's exhibition area, until 11 October. In addition, Tres Culturas is already planning other events related to Jewish culture, such as the concert to be held on 12 November at the headquarters of the Centro Sefarad Israel in Madrid. Programmed in collaboration with this institution and within the framework of the Foundation's 20th anniversary events, a jazz recital with piano and saxophone will be given by Román Filiú and Marta Sánchezwhich will allow the audience to delve into early 20th century Jewish jazz with pieces by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Aaron Copland, among others.
