André Azoulay, CEO of the Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation and advisor to the King of Morocco, has received the Pomegranate Award for Lifetime Achievement from the American Sephardi Federation (ASF). The award was given in recognition of his outstanding work in overcoming religious divisions through art and culture.
The award ceremony took place during the 20th edition of the ASF New York Sephardic Jewish Film Festival, which opened on 8 March 2017 and was dedicated to the Moroccan culture of Muslim-Jewish coexistence.
"Morocco is a vibrant and welcoming country; an exception to the global trend of rising intolerance," said Jason Guberman-P, executive director of the ASF.
