The Fundación Tres Culturas, presents the World Trekking Seville-Marrakech'16 (WTSM), a pioneering initiative that will be carried out on foot pulling a sledge, covering the route that separates the Giralda of Seville with the Koutoubía of Marrakech through more than 40 locations.
This adventure, which is being organised for the first time in history, will take place from 11 to 28 February 2016, coinciding with the Andalusia Day festivities, led by the sportsman Sergio Rodríguez.
Sergio Rodríguez has extensive experience in mountaineering, mountaineering and caving at an international level. He is the technical director of the Pachilofeos club and has been training for this new challenge since 2013.
This initiative is not only a unique sporting project. It also has two fundamental parts: the cultural part, in which the approximate trip that Blas Infante made in 1924 (in which he visited the tomb of Al-Mu'tamid in Agmat, the last king of Seville, to learn about the origins of the Andalusian culture) and the solidarity part, in which school materials collected in Andalusia will be donated to Morocco for the most disadvantaged children.
