On the occasion of the exhibition Cross-border vignettes In the Public Library of Alcalá de Guadaria José Manuel Lara, the Fundación Tres Culturas organises a meeting between the illustrator José Luis Ágreda and the students of the Art baccalaureate of the IES Tierno Galván and IES Inmaculada Vieira schools.
JOSÉ LUIS ÁGREDA
Illustrator and cartoonist from Andalusia, regular contributor to the newspaper El País and the weekly humour magazine The Thursday. He has worked in advertising, press illustration, book illustration, comics and character design for animation. In 2008 he started the successful children's story series CARLA (Timun Mas publishing house), which has already published fourteen titles. In 2001 he created the album Pink Harvest (Unercómic publishing house), winner of the Prize for the Best National Work at both the Barcelona and Madrid Comic Salons, and is currently writing and drawing the second part of the same for the Sinsentido publishing house.
