Today, the Fundación Tres Culturas hosted the meeting of the Follow-up Commission of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ibero-American General Secretariat, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, the Regional Government of Andalusia and the Huelva Provincial Council. This agreement led to the creation of the Ibero-American Observatory for Sustainable Development and Climate Change, which is based in La Rábida, Huelva.

The meeting was chaired by Rebeca Grynspan, Ibero-American Secretary General, who dedicated some warm words to the Fundación Tres Culturas. Among the participants were Concha de Santa Ana, Director of this institution; Enric Millo, Secretary General for External Action of the Junta de Andalucía; Carlos Abella y de Arístegui, Ambassador-at-Large for Ibero-American Summits and Ibero-American Spaces; José Ignacio García Pérez, Rector of the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía and Mª Eugenia Limón Bayo, President of the Diputación de Huelva.

This meeting has served to review progress and provide political impetus to the activities of the Observatory, which contributes with analysis, reports and knowledge building on environmental and climate issues in the region.
