The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation continues to support young Europeans in their integration into the world of work and project management. In this sense, the Foundation is once again part of the programme Interreg Volunteer Youth thanks to the cross-border cooperation project INTREPIDA plus (Internationalisation of Spanish and Portuguese Businesswomen towards Insertion, Development and Partnerships. Second Phase) which belongs to the Interreg VA Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) programme.

Interreg Volunteer Youth is a proposal of the European Union to promote the mobility of young unemployed Europeans under 30 years of age and their incorporation into the world of work, through close collaboration in INTERREG projects with the institutions that manage these projects, such as the Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo (Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation).

The Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation welcomed this initiative from the moment of its publication by the European Union. This allowed to start already in 2017 with the Portuguese young people Tiago Pinho and Ricardo Monteiro, continuing in 2018 with Bérénice Pereira from Versailles, France, in 2019 Giulia Calibeo from Italy. During 2020 the young women who participated were Spanish, due to mobility restrictions by COVID-19, this period started with Carmen Vélez from Cáceres and later Diana Esteban from Madrid. In 2021 Iolanda Gomes from Portugal joined the initiative and now we welcome Chiara Scacchetti.

Chiara Scacchetti (Rome, 1995) https://www.linkedin.com/in/chiara-scacchetti-448241222/

A curious person by nature, she is constantly expanding her field of knowledge through different forms of learning. With a degree in Anthropology from the University of Turin, Italy, where she usually lives, she has conducted research in the fields of cultural anthropology, history and religion. She can communicate fluently in five languages and continues to study new languages such as Russian. In 2021 she will complete a master's degree in anthropology and ethnology, which will lead her to study different societies and their behaviour. Motivated to learn about issues related to project management of various kinds, she completed a master's degree in European Projects and Management at Challenge Network.

She has carried out various research projects with interesting publications in the field of spirituality and ecology. Part of her time is dedicated to her commitment to other people through her voluntary work in organisations such as the Red Cross, as well as caring for animals and natural spaces such as Lampedusa or the Galapagos National Park. Currently, thanks to the Interreg Volunteer Youth programme, she is volunteering for several months at the Fundación Tres Culturas del Mediterráneo in Seville, Spain, in the framework of the INTREPIDA plus project within the Interreg POCTEP VA Spain-Portugal programme. Chiara Scacchetti has a keen interest in gender equality, having participated in cooperation and entrepreneurship programmes in Cape Verde aimed especially at the female population. During her time at the University of Turin, she also participates in the business incubator of the University of Turin: Startup Creation Lab Torino. The INTREPIDA plus project is entirely dedicated to the internationalisation of companies managed by women in the Andalusia Algarve Alentejo Euroregion, creating synergies between the two countries and promoting better business training.

From the Fundación Tres Culturas we encourage all the beneficiaries of the different INTERREG projects to take part in this wonderful initiative which is enormously positive for all parties, strengthening cooperation through the participation of young people. We remain at the disposal of all those who would like to know more details about our own experience in this initiative.
