The Fundación Tres Culturas opens the month of October with a solidarity concert whose box office proceeds will be donated to Syrian refugees through CEAR, the Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid, an initiative that has received so much support from the public that it has been necessary to offer this event in duplicate.
However, the very nature of this institution and its commitment to the peoples of the Mediterranean meant that the treatment of this phenomenon, which affects hundreds of thousands of people, could not be reduced to this event. For this reason, Tres Culturas wanted to dedicate the month of October to learning more about the situation of the refugees, the roots of a problem that is taking on ever greater dimensions and requires responses from governments, but also the understanding of civil society.
In this sense, this month's film programme will be made up of four films that address this issue from different perspectives, while we take the opportunity to bring back the 'Three Cultures News' cycle with one of the greatest experts on the serious refugee crisis and the Syrian political panorama, Haizam Amirah Fernández.
