Tres Culturas participates in the meeting 'Believing in Dialogue, Acting for Citizenship', hosted by the Anna Lindh Foundation in Tunisia

The Three Cultures Foundation will take part in the meeting. Believing in Dialogue, Acting for Citizenshipwhich will take place in Tunis from 23 to 26 June. This initiative, sponsored by the Anna Lindh Foundation, comes in the light of recent events in the Mediterranean political space and is attended by representatives of the 37 countries, both European and from the southern shore, that make up this European institution.

The meeting will serve as a platform for both institutions and civil society organisations to contribute their proposals in areas such as the development of educational and cultural systems and the improvement of participation mechanisms. The aim is to contribute useful experiences to the institutional strengthening of civil society in the countries on the southern shore of the Mediterranean in the process of political transition.  

This meeting, in which the Fundación Tres Culturas will take part as an institution of recognised prestige in the Mediterranean in the fields of cooperation, dialogue and the generation of spaces for intercultural encounters, is part of a series of activities dedicated to the analysis of the process of political transition in the countries of the southern Mediterranean, based on four basic objectives:.

 

  1. Report. By providing the interested public and Andalusian society with objective data to establish the volume and magnitude of the events.
  2. Analyse. By contrasting opinions The aim is to identify the causes behind the unrest process, to identify the direct consequences in the social and political spheres, and to provide well-founded answers to the main questions that have arisen.
  3. Disseminate. Through a commitment to open formats, such as the round tables of the cycle  Three Cultures NewsThe Andalusian citizenship is a key element in the development of the Andalusian culture and the dissemination of the conclusions and the process of debate generated in the different activities organised.
  4. Cooperate. Through the transfer of knowledge with civil society actors in the countries directly involved in the reform processes, channelling the experience accumulated by the Three Cultures Foundation in the field of governance, through participation in the multilateral meeting organised by the Anna Lindh Foundation in Tunisia.
