For more than 20 years, the European Days of Jewish Culture have been held in more than 30 countries throughout the month of September, with the aim of raising awareness of the cultural and historical heritage of the Jewish people. The theme chosen for this year's 2020 edition is 'Jewish Journeys' (Jewish Journeys). It is a joint initiative of the European Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Jewish Culture (AEPJ), the European Council of Jewish Communities, B'nai B'rith Europe and the Network of Spanish Jewish Quarters.
At the Fundación Tres Culturas we consider the enhancement of the value of the Jewish legacy in its cultural and historical dimension to be an essential objective of action. Therefore, thanks to the launch of the second edition of the programme 'Sepharad in Three Cultures', we want to contribute to the development of these days by programming a specific cycle dedicated to the Sephardic heritage, and in particular, to its Moroccan dimension.
From a plural approach, a series of activities have been programmed, including cinema, an exhibition and conferences that seek to make accessible and raise awareness among the general public about the importance of the cultural contribution that Sepharad's imprint has bequeathed to global culture.
