In the framework of the cycle Sepharad in Three Culturesand with the collaboration of the Jewish Community of Seville, the Fundación Tres Culturas is organising the poetry recital Memory map, a joint reading of poems from the book of the same name by María Álvarez-Rosario and from The colour of time (Sexto Piso), by Clarisse Nicoïdski.
The programme of the 'Recital Memory mapwill be divided into two acts. In the first, a selection of poems in Spanish and Judeo-Spanish will be read from the book by Clarisse Nicoïdski, considered to be the most important poet in the Judeo-Spanish language of the 20th century, whose work influenced Spanish-American authors such as Juan Gelman and José Ángel Valente. The reading will be given by Varda Fiszbein (Spanish) and Mercedes Levy (Judeo-Spanish). This will be followed by the reading of poems by Memory map This will be done by the author herself with the support of Varda Fiszbein. Memory map (Renacimiento) was awarded the IV Juana Castro Prize.
To create a genuine and ideal atmosphere, both poetry readings will be accompanied by music by Chiqui García, who will play several pieces of Sephardic music. At the end of the event, the author will be selling and signing copies of Memory map.
