The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, UNESCO in 2012 instituted 18 December as World Arabic Language Day.
History bears witness to the role that the Arabic language has played for centuries in the circulation of knowledge, between different cultures and through the ages, being the best example of a symbol of unity in diversity.
The Fundación Tres Culturas and CEAR are jointly joining in this celebration by organising a calligraphy talk-workshop on 17 December. Through this event, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the contribution of this language, as a transmitter of Islamic and scientific wisdom, to the common heritage of humanity.
Limited capacity.
Date: Monday 17 December
