In 2021, the Fundación Tres Culturas hosted the presentation of the The country of the othersthe first instalment of Leila Slimani's Moroccan trilogy. Three years later, the award-winning French-Moroccan author returns to our headquarters to present the long-awaited conclusion to this ambitious literary saga.

The Franco-Moroccan writer, one of the most prominent figures on the current literary scene, will discuss the central themes of her work – memory, identity, freedom, and intergenerational transmission – with the Sevillian author Irene Reyes-Noguerol during the event.
At I will take the fire with meSlimani culminates an ambitious saga inspired by her family history, which spans from the Morocco of the 1950s to the present day. As in previous instalments, the author offers a lucid and committed look at the role of women, colonialism, the desire to belong and the conflict between tradition and modernity.
✍🏼 After the presentation, there will be a book sale and book signing.
🎧 Simultaneous translation from French to Spanish will be provided.
