Integrate

Features

The Fundación Tres Culturas is launching a new edition of the INTEGRARTE programme, a totally free socio-educational itinerary aimed at seasonal workers of Moroccan origin in the province of Huelva.
Since its inception in 2015, this project has two main objectives: on the one hand, to offer training courses in Spanish as a foreign language (ELE2) to cover the basic day-to-day language needs faced by Moroccan seasonal workers during their stays in Spain. And, on the other hand, to develop awareness-raising and support workshops for women workers hired in origin with the intention of promoting knowledge of Spanish labour law, with the aim of making them aware of their rights and thus minimising situations of vulnerability through the empowerment of groups of women workers.
In addition, the programme will seek to strengthen the links with the host society, as well as the reinforcement of their culture of origin through the enhancement of Moroccan culture. At the same time, it will seek to highlight and communicate the good practices developed and the positive results of the intervention and the knowledge of their rights, reinforcing the knowledge of basic aspects of labour law.
The classes are held from March to June, the end of the red fruit agricultural season in Huelva. Specifically, in this 2024 edition, they will be held in the municipalities of Almonte, Lepe, Cartaya, Gibraleón, San Bartolomé de la Torre and Palos de la Frontera, adding up to 11 courses of 660 teaching hours of training in Spanish as a foreign language ELE2 and 30 workshops of awareness, counselling and socio-labour support with a total of 240 teaching hours.
With this training, the Fundación Tres Culturas continues its work to improve the conditions of seasonal workers of Moroccan origin, providing them with the necessary skills so that they can develop autonomously in their daily lives and promote their socio-occupational integration.
