The Fundación Tres Culturas, as part of its European INTREPIDA plus project, is organising a new INTREPIDA event, this time to learn about the history of a company with a very long history: Filigrana. The entrepreneur Lucía Álvarez Vela, third generation at the helm of the Filigrana castanet company, will talk to us at this event about its history and about the different playing styles of this musical instrument.
This firm, which has been active since it was founded and registered in 1967 by his grandfather, Manuel Vela Martínez, was a real innovation in the way of manufacturing this typical musical instrument. The raw material used allowed, among other things, a larger soundboard and therefore a very particular sound. Lucía Álvarez will share this exciting story with the audience, as well as talking about the different touches that this musical instrument has, for which she will be accompanied by a concert pianist.
More information about the company can be found at castanuelasfiligrana.com
Free activity. Places are limited, so in order to attend, it is essential to registration at THIS LINK.
The session can also be enjoyed online through the social networks of the Fundación Tres Culturas.
