For yet another year, the Fundación Tres Culturas is dedicating its March film programme to the work of women filmmakers, as part of the celebration of International Women's Day on the 8th of this month.
The presence of women in all fields of international audiovisual creation, especially in directing, is increasing, offering us a feminine vision of a multitude of themes and contents that attract the attention of festivals and audiences.

After studying for several years in France, Selma opens her own psychiatric practice in a popular suburb of Tunisia, just after the social and political revolution of the Arab Spring. There, she will have to deal with new patients and adapt to the problems caused by their cultural differences, and she will have to rediscover a past she thought she had left behind.
This sophisticated comedy, starring the charismatic French-Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani, opens a window into a fascinating modern Tunisia full of contrasting vitality and humour.
A couch in Tunisia won the Audience Award at the last Venice Film Festival 2019, Giornate Degli Autori, and was presented in the Official Selection of the Seminci in Valladolid 2019.
