The Fundación Tres Culturas co-organises two activities of the Observatory of Islamophobia in the Media in Seville, in collaboration with this Observatory, the Al Fanar Foundation and the Seville Press Association. Both proposals are free of charge and will take place on 26 September, with two well-defined audiences.
The first of these will be a workshop at the headquarters of the Seville Press Association (Paseo de las Delicias, 5), from 11.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., which will be aimed at journalists and media professionals in general. The co-director of the Observatory and president of the Al Fanar Foundation for Arab Knowledge, Pedro Rojo, will talk about the latest data from the Observatory and the resources it offers for journalists, will present the European project 'Stop-Islamophobia' and will address in a practical way the treatment of issues related to Muslim women in the media, among other issues.
In the afternoon, from 19:00 to 20:30 at the headquarters of the Fundación Tres Culturas, Pedro Rojo will meet with representatives of different associations and groups particularly sensitive to these issues to present the upcoming activities of the Observatory, listen to new proposals and coordinate actions. He will also invite them to contribute ideas for the 'Stop-Islamophobia' project, which has just been launched and to which there is still room for new lines of action.
