The Three Cultures Foundation, in collaboration with the publisher Cabaret Voltaire, will organise a literary event with the writer Rachid Boudjedra, one of Algeria’s most renowned contemporary intellectuals. His prolific literary production showed from the beginning his critical position towards the political, social, literary and humanitarian situation in Algeria. In this event the author will talk about his work with Souad Hadj-Ali, translator into Spanish of his novel ‘The obstinate snail’ (Cabaret Voltaire).
‘Tres con Libros’ book club analysed this book last February. Several sets of copies of this work have been donated to different institutions, such as the Euro-Arab Foundation of Higher Studies (Granada), the ‘Juan Ramón Jiménez’ public library in Sanlúcar la Mayor (Seville) or the ‘Luis Jiménez de Asúa’ Social Inclusion Centre (CIS) in Seville.
The Three Cultures Foundation will also organise a similar event with Rachid Boudjedra at Granada’s Book Fair on April 18th.
